Upskirting and Voyeurism

Upskirting is often to obtain sexual gratification. A voyeur is someone who obtains sexual pleasure or satisfaction by observing others engaging in sexual activities or by viewing their intimate body parts. 

 

Voyeurism involves a person gaining sexual gratification through secretive observation or "peeping" on others in private or intimate situations.

  

Voyeurism is considered a paraphilic disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) when it causes distress or impairment in functioning for the individual.
